Fort Worth, Bro
Took
the weekend off
to play trombone
for
my friends in the band
Deer Vibes
at the WestBerryMusicFestival
in Fort Worth, Tx.
Aside from
the greatness that is
playing
a 4-foot long instrument,
or
finally being able to justify
choosing
middle school band
over
middle school sports, <---and, subsequently, the dating of middle school women <----no shot
I
was offered acid
within
twenty minutes of showing up
to the festival,
and
had a band
dedicate their entire set to
"the trombone guy". <----me
What
did you do
last weekend?
Let me know.

P.S. Don't worry mom, still acid free.

Lunacy (Circa 3:12 AM)
Sometimes
I
just stare
at it.
I stare
and
I wonder,
"Are you worth it?"
"Are you worth
ze madness?" <---soo French
Cut
to realizing
I'm talking to myself,
let anger
transition
into fear,
and the world moves on.
To think,
I
used to

Talib
It's
not as though
I grew up
dreaming of being
the
"greatest journalist ever",
or
anything like that.
To be honest,
I
thought more
along the lines of
"which Power Ranger Zord
best suited my personality",
and
what my
never-before-seen
finishing maneuver
(as a professional wrestler)
would be. <----lots of time went towards this
But in
2011,
aka "The Year of The Ghost", <----patent/debut album title pending
I decided to
bite
the bullet
and
really dedicate myself
to
the task,
no matter how much
the subject
may have stuck to my ribs. <---metaphor <-----so heavy

The Journey
Once
upon a time,
I
was afraid of roaches.
"Never
trust anything
that
outlived the dinosaurs," <---proper f'd <---blimey
they'd
say.
Until,
one night,
I spied
(with my lil eye)
a creepy crawler darting
under
the bed.
Maybe it was my
dormant animal instincts,
or perhaps
I had just been reading
a Watterson classic
in which
we got to see Hobbes'
point
of view
whilest waiting for Calvin
to
come home from school,
but
in that fateful moment,
I decided to be afraid no longer.
I won't go into
the details
of that night,
but 7 hours
and one papasan chair
later,
one of us <---not the roach
walked out of the room alive.
Somewhere
near
the beginning of
this story,
I was trying to make a point
about
respecting the journey,
because
everyone is on one.
But,
as oft apt
to do,
it somehow steered itself towards
me owning.
The end. <----probably not

Feel Me
Rodeo season.
Finding myself
contending
with
the very elements.
Much like
Huey and Arnold <----all hail the great manifestations of reason
before me,
I
witnessed
an
unexpected weather pattern
destroy
the
minds and souls
of allies&countrymen
alike.
In order to remain
ahead
of the curve,
one must continuously
adapt/
change.
For instance,
I'm
really into socks <-----I'm literally wearing them <----awesome
right now.
And some other things.
Stay tuned.

Around The Bend
Conflicted.
Bummed about good news.
Bummed
because
I had already planned
on a
completely random commitment
to the idea of
only posting
10 blogs
a month this year.
Yet,
I was much obliged
to
post this most recent
review
of
because it was
unexpected
and very kind.
So,
I suppose
I must now commit
myself
to the number
11.
Seems fitting.

One Way Out (Down)
how I spent my summer vacation...in the Twilight Zone
Sleeping
during the days.
Drinking too much.
Fitter.
Happier.
Downward
spiraling,
but in a
"necessary" <----read: creative
way,
a way
that ensures
tons o'TRL
spins.
Realizing its 4 AM,
and
that I just went to sleep
at 7 AM
for what was
now

two night's ago's
worth's

sleep.
An
unprovoked tear
just
came out of my eye. <----nice use of real time

Us!
some people really fear third person pronouns
Admittedly
roughing it
these days... <---couldn't afford the premium digital cable package, had to settle for only 1,000 channels
Resorting to
extreme

myself for anything

Anywhatsit,
let's try
tying
this together...

a) dangerous
b) somewhat interesting methods of natural selection
c) Sean Elliott
d) I'm watching Clash of the Titans in 2D, its surprisingly even worse
